Maverick project, made in Germany. Bohemian target audience or just budget easy listening? Well, a bit of both probably. There’s something quite endearing about listening to Bacharach’s 60s pop tunes in the style of the classical 18th Century harpsichordist. In this regard, the first 4 tracks are quite refreshing, if not vital. Flamenco style guitar takes “lead vocals” from thereon and the album begins to lose some appeal. The whole concept is wearing very thin by the end. A momentarily engaging curiosity…
