“Super Trouper” by ABBA - album review

TJR says

The commercial success story continues on their November, 1980, release, the content almost playing out as a real-life drama against a backdrop of relationship troubles between the couples. Three UK singles were released: “The Winner Takes It All” (#1), “Super Trouper” (#1) and “Lay All Your Love On Me” (#7), whilst the LP gave them a fourth consecutive #1 in the UK. I was able to enjoy some of their sophisticated pop charms previously, but I feel very little on this one; their light is fast fading out according to rebel sensibilities.
