“You Never Know Who Your Friends Are” by Al Kooper - album review

TJR says

Doesn't impact on me as much as “I Stand Alone” did. There's no doubting his talents as songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, but he and his big band of cerebral pop perfectionists just leave me feeling indifferent. When “Too Busy Thinkin’ ‘Bout My Baby” kicks in I'm thinking that he could single-handedly do one of those Top of the Pops albums, and that's not a good impression.
