The second scream-a-long-a-Rollers was delivered in May '75 and gave them their second #1 in the British album charts, with the only single release, “Bye Bye Baby”, also hitting #1 in the UK. This time around, the Edinburgh five-piece were playing all the instruments themselves so some degree is respect is due. They line-up: Les McKeown (19, lead vocals), Eric Faulkner (21, acoustic and electric guitars, backing vocals, mandolin, violin), Stuart Wood (18, acoustic and electric guitars, backing vocals, piano, bass) and the long-standing founding members, Alan Longmuir (26, bass, backing vocals, accordion) and his brother Derek Longmuir (24, drums). They took the opportunity to re-record their debut single, “Keep On Dancing”, an old Gentrys number, now sung by Les for the first time: “keep on dancing, keep on doing the jerk, shake it shake it baby, come on and show me how you work” - who could possibly resist? Spread over the album whole, influences were many and varied; Everly Brothers, Beach Boys, Abba, Slade, as well as the shooby-doo-woppers various. They served their purpose.
