“Black Unity” by Bobby Ellis and The Professionals meet The Revolutionaries - album review

TJR says

Studio One horn arranger and ace trumpeter Bobby Ellis is paired with legendary saxophonist Tommy McCook for the third time, as the pair blow their way all over some effortlessly cool roots-rocking instrumentals, courtesy of Channel One Studios house band, The Revolutionaries. Although not billed specifically, McCook is credited with Ellis as co-writer on all tracks, and his saxophone playing is evident throughout. Ellis’ flugel-led wail on “Skanking Rockers” is worth the price of admission on its own and it’s he who steals the show…
