“Trip Thru’ Hell” by C.A. Quintet - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1969 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s |

Neat mini-album of psychedelic psyche with added quirk via trumpet from the band’s leader and main songwrier, Ken Erwin. The band seem very adept at brewing up a dark storm before bursting into sunshine. The quintet were complete with Jim Erwin on bass, Rick Johnson on drums, Tom Pohling on wah-wah guitar and Doug Reynolds, giving it his best “Manzarek” on organ. Ken, Jim and Doug all contribute vocals. Locally produced in Minneapolis, less than 500 copies were sold in its original pressing, Candy Floss CF-7764S.
