“Mr. Dream Merchant” by Jerry Butler - album review

Jerry’s brand of adult-orientated smooth soul is just not for me, only rarely does this LP flicker into life. “I Come To You” gets close to a Stax vibe, whilst “Beside You” at least suggests at some of the affecting emotional allure of southern gospel.
