TJR says

I’ve always had a little soft spot for the richly baritoned one, a regular on my Nanna’s booming old gramophone player, with the LPs now having been inherited by myself. “Girls I Have Known” has the somewhat cheesy premise of being limited to titles which include girls’ names. “Marie” surprises with its’ Rock n Roll sensibility and “Goodnight Irene” is another unexpected success but, all in all, the set never thrills, and occasionally descends into the dire category.
