TJR says

Pools from the 4 LP’s 1978-1980 as well as singles and b-sides, including his one and only hit single - “Gimmix! (Play Loud)” (1979), which ascended all the way to the giddy heights of # 39, making the official Radio 1 Top 40 countdown show. Well I never. Ironically, I was never as keen on that one. Too gimmicky. All facets of the man’s stylistics at the time are represented here - “Thirty Six Hours” demonstrates that he could have brilliantly delivered as an “Ian Dury” if he wanted too, the live stand up of “Kung Fu International / Twat” reminds us that he can simply be just a great laugh, whilst the poignancy of album closer “Beasley Street” reminds us of his ability to dig affectingly into social consciousness. There’s a great brain deep under that hairdo…
