TJR says

They were back down to a duo from this one, drummers Andreas Hohmann and Klaus Dinger having left the fold. Any required rhythms were now delivered by a simple beat-box-type electronic drum machine, with preset rhythms taken from an electric organ. They were now: Ralf Hütter (organ, electric piano, guitar, bass, rhythm machine, xylophone, harmonica) and Florian Schneider-Esleben (flutes, violin, guitar, effects, xylophone). They carry on pretty much where they left off on their debut, floating around in space, searching and probing for god knows what and, no doubt, having a jolly good time whilst doing so. It often seems demo-like to me, bits n bobs stitched together, kind of interesting at times, but failing to grip for any sustained period. “Atem”, literally a three minute piece of synthesized breathing, single handedly destroys the album's rating.
