“Morning Glory” by Lacksley Castell - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1982 → ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1980s → |
Debut album from the 23-year-old singer from Kingston, now 4/5 years in the business. Released on the Negus Roots label, owned by twin brothers Michael Palmer and Robert "Flako" Palmer, produced by the latter. Two singles were released from the LP; last year's “Government Man” urges the rulers to free Gods land for the poor people, whilst this year's “Speak Softly” defaults to his preferred topic of sweetness and love. He was a smoothie. Tragically, he was taken by an illness late in 1983, aged just 24.
