“Mighty Garvey!” by Manfred Mann - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1968 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s |
A bizarre album - like a Monty Python sketch crossed by The Kinks “Preservation” sound via Beach Boys harmonies. Individually, the tracks score patchily as you’d guess - from 4’s to 9’s….Even though it’s got a number one single on it (Mighty Quinn), this album failed to chart! An amazing fact for the quiz heads….
