The fifth album in six years from the hard-hitting fast-living London 3-piece arrived in April, 1982. They remain: Lemmy (vocals, bass guitar); 'Fast' Eddie Clarke (guitars) and Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor (drums). Clarke himself steps in to co-produce, something which Lemmy came to regret: “..I was pissed off 'cause we let Eddie produce it. I wasn't at the time, though. Fair play. But it became obvious after it was released - I sort of sobered up and realized it was garbage, most of it. And there's at least three songs on there that weren't even finished. We just finished them in the studio, you know, like cobbled it together. It just was a substandard album. But the trouble is how do you follow a live album that went straight in at #1? There's nothing you can do..”. It's certainly a disappointment after the career-zenith “Ace Of Spades”, despite a solid one-two starter in “Iron Fist” and “Heart Of Stone”. Previous punk thrills have all but disappeared. It did well for them though, hitting #6 in the UK and breaking into the Billboard 200 for the first time.
