“High Priestess Of Soul” by Nina Simone - album review

features in: Album Chart of 1967Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s

TJR says

2 of the 12 get a 1967 rework - “Work Song” from “Forbidden Fruit”, 1961 and “Gal From Joes” from “Sings Ellington”, 1962. For proper album status, I’m giving it the discretionary artistic pass (where it seems reasonable for the artist to update 1 or 2 old tracks as long as the rest of the gear is very much recorded in the now.)
