“Santa Monica Pier” by Noel Harrison - album review

TJR says

Fair play to Noel Harrison for delivering an album which is hard to categorize - he's like some sort of bohemian variety performer, lunging from sincere crooners to the rosy rags; he often has a touch of the Noël Coward about him. He endears himself to the left field with two fair covers of Leonard Cohen numbers; “So Long Marianne” (Leonard Cohen, 1967) and “Dress Rehearsal Rag” (Judy Collins, 1966). Nothing takes him away from his own style though, he has a identifiable trademark sound.
