This is one of those albums which confuses the brain. Well, it confuses mine anyway. On one hand, there’s some fine drama both in the orchestral productions and the amazing vocals of P.P. Arnold. On the other, it seems to veer towards supper-club style cabaret, rather than the (preferable) soul-revue style of the preceding “First Lady Of Immediate” LP. Could’ve / should’ve been…
