TJR says

The sixth album in five years from the pop branch of the Clinton funk empire begins with a film-esque voiceover thus: “From the ocean comes a notion, That the real eyes lies in rhythm, And the rhythm of vision is a dancer, From the lookin' come the seeing, One with real eyes realize, The rhythm of vision is a dancer, And when he dance, it's always on the One”. And so the latest Parliament concept album is revealed: it's to be a great underwater adventure. The unfunny and largely tiresome affair is saved only by “Aqua Boogie (A Psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop)” which is so deeply grooved that you forgive the cartoon character nonsense. Commercially, their golden period continues; “Motor Booty Affair” gave them their fourth consecutive Top 30 album in the USA.
