TJR says

The ninth Parliament long-player was released in December, 1980, with one single released from the set, “Agony Of Defeet” which peaked at #7 on the R&B chart. They had been with Casablanca since '74, but lost the label's support soon after this one. This, combined with financial difficulties led group leader George Clinton to wind it up. In terms of my affections, they went out on a low.
