TJR says

“Two-Way Trip” features a mix of British and American folk songs, hence the title. It's a new set, although it does include 2 reworkings from “The English And Scottish Popular Ballads”, namely “Richie Story” and “Crafty Farmer”. A few of the mainly Scottish side 1 songs are sung a capella, the best of these being “Old Lady All Skin And Bones”, a ditty to put fear into the sinners. The Americanised side 2 houses all the best songs and performances; I'm especially enamoured with Peggy's introduction of the autoharp on “The Two Brothers” and “Matty Groves”, the latter of which features booming backing vocals by Ewan MacColl, a great performance all-round. Rounding the set off, “The Devil's Nine Questions (Riddles Wisely Expounded)” (the very first of Francis Child's collected ballads) features Peggy on banjo, as Ewan poses riddles to test whether his would-be companion is suitable. Turns out, her Gods are none of his; just as well he checked!
