notes.png Correct @ last verified date. Although the group was though to be disbanded with the death in 1997 of its core member, Simon Jeffes (only he and cellist co-founder Helen Liebmann were constant 1972-1997) it was resurrected in 2007 as "Penguin Cafe" by his Simon's son, Arthur. Although it includes no original PCO members, it features many PCO pieces in its live repertoire, and records and performs new music written by the younger Jeffes. Long live the Penguins!
