TJR says

Queen delivered their second long-player of '74 in November, just 8 months after “Queen II”. The core quartet remain: Freddie Mercury (lead vocals), Brian May (electric guitar), John Deacon (bass guitar) and Roger Taylor (drums). All four contribute to the songwriting. Between them they conjure up some piano, organ, banjolele, triangle, wind chimes, tambourine, timpani and double bass into their own unique mix, which is emerging as a kind of hard theatre rock thing, framed by perfectly executed falsetto harmonies. A step forward.
