“Signed, Sealed, And Delivered” by Stevie Wonder - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1970 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1970s |

Opens with all four of the album's singles: “Never Had A Dream Come True” (#26), “We Can Work It Out” (#13), “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours” (#3) and “Heaven Help Us All” (#9). As I listen to his funky dance cover of the second track I'm thinking - he's only 20 and already he's seen the Beatles come and go. The majority of the LP revels in the glamorously polished dance-funk style which will look and sound good on Saturday night TV. The Wonder sound is perfectly nice, but has got little in the way of grit; it's not really my kinda soul.
