“Tony Joe White” by Tony Joe White - album review

TJR says

His stint at Monument now over, Tony Joe White signed with Warner Bros. in an attempt to propel his status further upwards. It's an exceedingly listenable set with string arrangements by Roger Hopps and Horn arrangements by the Memphis Horns undoubtedly adding a touch of class to the man's soulful brand of blues rock. Bit too safe at times, preventing my rating from soaring higher.
