“Traffic” by Traffic - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1968 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s ● 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die |
Second album from the Birmingham 4-piece who're already on the slide for me, althought the opening to side two spikes the album's ratings, with “Vagabond Virgin” and “(Roamin’ Thru The Gloamin’ With) 40,000 Headmen” serving some flute-laden folk-rock, the upbeat tone of the former masking it's dark lyrical matter of an innocence stolen. Dodgy. All in all, a bloated affair which leaves me cold.
