Rather than taking the usual hot-off-the-press approach, the TV-advertised “Raiders Of The Pop Charts” (cutely piggybacking 'Raiders of the Lost Ark') went for the year-end retrospective angle, with 15 tracks in part 1 and another 15 on part 2, both records being released simultaneously. Whilst other LPs in the same marketplace would often make brutal early fades to accommodate runtime editorials, Ronco made a big effort to include the full 7" single versions here, so fair play to them on that score.
