“W N W G - Moonlight Radio” by Various Artists - album review

Almost wholly recorded and mixed at Silo Studio, Barnes, London in July and August, 1981, especially conceptualized as a showcase for a whole lot of lesser known English groups of the time. All groups had played at The Moonlight Club over the past two years, hence the album's title. As described at Discogs, The Moonlight Club was in a room at the rear of The Railway Hotel in West Hampstead, London. It was a ram-packed sweaty pit of a room where many of the punk and post-punk bands played in their early days. The Railway Hotel has previously hosted The Starlight Club and Klooks Kleek, London. All tracks, bar “The Decorators - Twilight View” were previously unreleased.
